For 1 cent a word I will do a one round content/developmental edit of the entire book.
There will be no comments in the book itself. I'll write an edit letter that addresses any story, plot, character, pacing, timeline, etc., issues, as well as line edit issues I noticed throughout (i.e. repetition, passive voice, dangling participles, incorrect word usage, grammar & punctuation issues), but I will not address those issues directly in the manuscript.
Pricing example: a 60k book would cost $600.
For 1.5 cents a word I will do a one round content and line edit of the entire book.

As well, I will line edit the book, marking repetition and directly commenting on all line edit issues I find. Authors tell me I do the deepest edits they've ever had, breaking the story down word for word, making sure you always make the best story and word choices possible, plus I get rid of pesky grammar and punctuation errors.
For a 60k book this would cost $900.
PLEASE NOTE: It is always my goal to help authors put out the best book possible, and most books need more than one round of edits to achieve that goal. As such, this package is ONLY available to authors I have a long-term editing relationship with.
For 2 cents a word I will do two rounds of edits on the book.
The first round is a content/developmental edit only, with no comments in the manuscript itself. The second round I will evaluate all content and developmental edits that were made and will suggest any additional changes. As well, I will line edit the book, marking repetition and directly commenting on all grammar and sentence structure issues I find. Authors tell me I do the deepest edits they've ever had, breaking the story down word for word, making sure you always make the best story and word choices possible, plus I get rid of pesky grammar and punctuation errors.
For a 60k book this would cost $1200.
For 2.5 cents a word, I will do three rounds of edits on the book.
The first round of edits will include a complete evaluation of the story, with content/developmental edits of the entire book. There will be no comments in the book itself. I'll write an edit letter that addresses any story, plot, character, pacing, timeline, etc., issues, as well as line edit issues I noticed throughout (i.e. repetition, passive voice, dangling participles, incorrect word usage, grammar & punctuation issues), but I will not address those issues directly in the manuscript.
Following that edit round, I will do an additional two full rounds of edits on the book, including content and line editing as mentioned above, in both rounds.
For a 60k book this would cost $1500.
Please note: I accept Paypal only, invoicing for half before I start edits, and the last half before I send back the final round of edits.
I usually return edits within 2-3 weeks of your scheduled editing date. Some books take longer to edit though, and I won't risk quality of edits--that's the most important factor.
